An excellent year-round Saratoga attraction, the gaming and raceway is a new facility with over 1,300 video lottery terminals.  It was the first gaming facility to open in New York State.  The gaming and raceway used to be called the Saratoga Harness track, which opened in 1941. $15 million was poured into the renovation of the harness track to provide a combination harness track and full-service casino.  Nicknamed the RACINO, the Saratoga Gaming and Raceway includes restaurants, gift shops, valet services, live harness racing, high-end video gaming entertainment and more.  For more information, visit the website, Saratogaraceway.com.  Increase your knowledge on horse racing history by visiting the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame the next time you are staying at a Saratoga inn. Find more about this museum on the attractions in Saratoga Springs page.
