It must provide access to the universe of knowledge through a variety of materials, programs, and services. As a publicly supported institution, the library should make primary services available without charge. Special emphasis should be given to areas of local interest.

Saratoga County Historical Society As the home of the Saratoga County Historical Society, Brookside Museum inspires community memory by telling the story of Saratoga County through interactive and engaging programs and exhibits. We fulfill this vision by hosting school programs, exhibits, a research library, and through public programming.
Saratoga Reads! Our goal is to invite all members of the Saratoga community to participate in a program designed to create an extensive and shared conversation for all ages and various areas of interest. Centering on the community-wide reading of a novel rich enough to sustain invigorating dialogue, the conversation will build upon resources available at Skidmore College and in the wider Saratoga Springs community. Having selected the novel, members of the college community and Saratoga community organizations may create and/or participate in group discussions, enactments, literacy and library experiences, school and arts events ... toward the end of relishing the place and play of community-wide engagement
